Anti-Discrimination Policy

PetCloud has Zero tolerance of Racism & Discrimination towards Staff, Pet Owner Clients, and Pet Professionals

PetCloud is an incredibly diverse community, drawing together individuals of different cultures, values, abilities, and norms who share a love of animals.

 

The Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (RDA) makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person because of his or her race, colour, descent, national origin or ethnic origin, or immigrant status. While the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 makes it unlawful to discriminate against someone with a disability.


Pet Professionals: If you demonstrate racist or discriminatory behaviour towards a PetCloud staff member or Pet Owner Client we will:

  1. Log what you said or did against your file in our internal system.

  2. Warn you that we will be unable to assist you if you continue the behaviour

  3. End the conversation or assisting you by email if your behaviour continues.

  4. We will then replace you on all bookings with another Subcontractor 

  5. We will deactivate your listing permanently 

  6. We will contact all of our Clients who you have ever had contact with to let them know that you have been banned, why you have been banned, and offering them a replacement.

  7. We will report you to the Australian Human Rights Commission.


As a result, you will suffer a loss of income.

Pet Owner customers: If you demonstrate racist or discriminatory behaviour towards a PetCloud staff member or Subcontractor we will:

  1. Log what you said or did against your file in our internal system.

  2. Warn you that we will be unable to assist you if you continue the behaviour

  3. End the conversation or assisting you by email if your behaviour continues.

  4. We will deactivate your profile permanently.


Our core team at PetCloud HQ are long term trained and police checked staff from a mix of diverse cultures, abilities, and backgrounds who work across Accounts, Marketing, Development, Sales, and Customer Service roles.  All PetCloud Staff and Subcontractors have the right to a safe workplace free of discriminatory, or racist behaviour. PetCloud has a zero tolerance policy on discrimination and racism against its Staff, Pet Professionals, and Clients.  

PetCloud expects that you will be respectful and courteous when communicating with PetCloud staff, Pet Professionals, and Clients.

 

Please ensure that you:

  • treat others as you would like to be treated.

  • respectfully engage with all PetCloud staff, being specific on what you would like assistance with.

  • use an appropriate speaking level and tone.

  • uphold this Anti-Discrimination Policy and PetCloud’s Code of Conduct.
