Yes - PetCloud arranges Police checks and Biometric Checks.  PetCloud has partnered with an ACIC (Australia Criminal Intelligence Commission) Accredited Provider to do Live Biometric (selfie) identity checks of Pet Sitters cross checked against Government Photo issued ID and cross checked with the Australian Government's DVS (Document Verification Service) that Provider then conducts a Nationally Coordinated Police check. The result is then programmatically sent to us.

Roughly 216 people per 100,000 people in the Australian population have committed serious crimes and are imprisoned.

Some platforms don't do Police checks. Or they allow self-uploaded Police checks - which can be altered, or not up to date or belong to someone else.

Or they accept ID cards not verified against a register.
