What are Home Visits?
Home Visits are when a Pet Sitter drives over to your home, and using a spare key you have provided them beforehand at your Meet & Greet, they let themselves into your home to feed and water your pets and then they lock up, and drive home again. The visit lasts around 15 -20 mins. They can be 1 time per day, or 2 times per day (morning and evening).
How to book Home Visits?
What do Home Visits include?
- Topping up bowl or large kong wobbler with food
- Topping up bowls with Fresh water
- Cleaning litter boxes
- Picking up poop from the backyard and disposing of in a bag in the wheelie bin outside.
- Full body checks
- Resecuring the property
How long is Home Visits okay for?
For short weekends away. Dogs are pack animals which is why the RSPCA advises Home Visits should only be booked for 48 hours max. If a human is away for any longer, they are likely to become bored, anxious, and depressed and will bark, try to escape and may be destructive. So if you are away for any longer, you are better off booking them or Pet Boarding at a Sitter's home, or have a House Sitter come to stay.
