How do I evaluate sitters and dog walkers?
PetCloud is a marketplace. We display digital badges which helps guide your decision making, and we equip you with a Property Safety Check Guide to use at Meet & Greets which contains interview questions, and a checklist which empowers you to work with the Sitter to identify any household hazards or escape routes and come up with a solution OR find a more suitable Sitter and property that will meet your individual pets needs.
- We request that Sitters upload a recent clear headshot
- We verify the Sitter has provided a valid mobile phone number and email
- We request for a valid address that we verify on Google Maps.
- We request that Sitters provide a Police check within the last 12 months or obtain a Police check
- We request that Sitters complete the training course
If you prefer someone who has completed the RSPCA Qld Accredited Animal Care training course, that is your decision, and you can identify those Sitters with the badge.
Tip: Before booking with a Sitter, we recommend scheduling an in-person Meet & Greet. This way, you can see whether the Sitter or Dog Walker is a good fit for you and your pet.
