How much should I charge for dog walking?
You are in charge of setting your prices. The amount to charge for a dog walk depends on the amount of time for the session (30 mins or 1hr) and whether Group or Private walk.
Private Dog Walks should be priced higher because you are forgoing 2 additional dogs you could have walked but instead you are taking on their private walk request for just their dog.
We have now intentionally removed the ability for Pet Owners to book once off Dog Walks & Day Care. This is to guarantee placement for Pet Owners who want to book weekly recurring day care and dog walks for 3, 6, and 12 months at a time.
The prices you set must be slightly higher by a few dollars so that you are happy with the amount you are paid out by PetCloud after we deduct our 19% service fee which goes towards Insurance, training, marketing, support, website & apps maintenance and improvements. If a Pet Owner has 2 dogs that need to be walked, we recommend charging full price for each dog.
Booking via PetCloud means their dogs will be covered by insurance in the event of a Pet Accident or Illness.
