I already have a National Police Check, will PetCloud accept that?
No sorry. The checks we arrange is much more than a Police check. It's a 3 step verification chain: Live Selfie - matched with Govt issued ID - matched with Police check. We are then sent the result programmatically from the Verificaton Provider. Your Employment Service Provider may pay for a new Police + Live Biometrcheck for you.
Some apps let sitters upload a police check document themselves. That sounds okay in theory — but there’s a big problem. Documents can be faked, edited, or just really old. A check from three years ago tells you nothing about who that person is today.
Since PetCloud onboards Pet Sitters remotely and don't meet applicants in person, we take extra steps to verify that the person creating an account is the same person who completed the Police Check - and that they are who they say they are. So when you get Police checked, you also have a 'live selfie check' and your identity is confirmed with DVS (records the Government holds).
We also receive a Police check result programmatically direct from Veriication Provider.
Please log in and go to your Verifications screen and click Background Check: https://www.petcloud.com.au/verifications and this will take you straight through the process.
Go to https://www.petcloud.com.au/verifications Click on "Verifications all Sitters and Walks must have" Then click the button "Get Police checked" You will then be redirected to National Crime Check. PetCloud will be informed programmatically of the result (eg. 'NDCO') If you have no disclosable court outcomes, you will be able to proceed with publishing your listing on PetCloud.
Your Employment Service Provider (ESP) such as WorkSkil Australia may pay for your Police check. Please ask them. You will be referred to an ESP by Centrelink.
