Please only use a pet-safe flea spray on their coats and in cupboards and on lounges.  Pets absorb chemicals through their paws. - so do not use ordinary bug spray.  You will also need to vacuum and wash everything to get rid of the eggs.  Frontline flea and tick spray is safe for both cats and dogs (some brands of sprays are only safe for dogs).  A Pet Store will stock flea sprays for cats and dogs. Tell them what you want to use it for and how bad the problem is.
