What is Away Mode?
Away Mode prevents wasting Pet Owners time by automatically placing a Sitter's listing into hibernation & Pet Owners won't be able to make an enquiry. It also prevents PetCloud from wasting time and money sending leads to you.
How do I keep my listing out of Away Mode?
1. You must click [Pre-Approve] or [Decline] on all inquiries and not let them just Expire. (Try to respond within 2 hours).
2. Block out dates you are unavailable on
your Calendar screen, then click the
[Save & Publish] button on
your calendar every 14 days.
Publishing your Calendar at least every 14 days will display the tag “Calendar recently updated” in search results to Pet Owners and gives them more confidence to book you. Example below:
What happens when Away Mode is activated:
- A Sitter's listing [Enquiry] button label changes to [SITTER IS AWAY] & is disabled from getting booking requests.
- Sitter's listing is not included in search results
- An email is auto-triggered from Admins notifying Pet Sitters “Your listing has been placed into Away Mode and will be hidden from search results because you didn't respond to last booking request, or because you have less than 3 completed bookings”
When is it Automatically Activated? Away mode is automatically activated due to Sitter inactivity.
- Less than 3 completed bookings
- Don't respond to last booking request and you let it expire
- If you haven't logged in every 2 weeks to update and confirm your availability on your calendar.
If you are taking a break from Pet Sitting, or going on a holiday and want to disconnect from technology, place your listing in Away Mode.
