Who provides the Pet's food?
The owner is required to supply all food for the stay. Remember to remind the owner to bring along enough wet and dry food to last the length of the stay plus an extra 2 days just in case. Wet Food = mince, tuna, or tinned pet food. Dry Food = Dry dog biscuits / kibble.
Give Pet Owners as advanced notice as possible if their pet's food is starting to run low. The Owner should be then asked to purchase food online and have it delivered to the home of where the sit is taking place. The Owner can try to order pet food from the RSPCA World for Pets website, Woolworths, Coles, Petbarn, Pet Circle, Frontier Pets for Freeze dried food, or Lyka for fresh food.
If you end up directly purchasing food,
1. Always ask the Owner & get their consent in writing on the PetCloud platform as to what type of food to buy first. Otherwise - they may not agree with your choice of purchase and may not wish to pay for it.
2. Next, you should always photograph the receipts and upload into PetCloud as a message to the Pet Owner for reimbursement before the end of the stay.
